Katherine Christians

Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.S., CCC-SLP)

Accepts 13 insurance plans

Hi, I’m Katherine! I became a speech-language pathologist (SLP) because I’ve always wanted a career centered on helping others. After shadowing an SLP and learning more about the profession during college, I quickly realized speech-language pathology was the perfect fit.

I have experience working with clients across the lifespan in a variety of settings, including schools, skilled nursing facilities, home health, outpatient clinics, and early intervention (birth to three). These experiences have given me the opportunity to support individuals with diverse communication needs while collaborating closely with families and interdisciplinary teams.

I’m passionate about helping clients build functional communication skills that increase confidence, independence, and meaningful participation in everyday life. I have completed specialized training in PECS Level 1 and Visual Phonics, which enhance my ability to support a wide range of communication styles and needs.

My therapy approach is client-centered, highly individualized, and focused on functional outcomes. I believe strong family involvement is key to meaningful progress and lasting carryover, and I strive to create a supportive, empowering environment where every client can grow, advocate for themselves, and reach their goals.
