Alyssa Gilman
Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.S., CCC-SLP)
Hi, I’m Alyssa! I became a speech-language pathologist because I believe progress is made through small, meaningful steps, and I love being part of celebrating each one along the way. What drew me to this field is the individuality of every person’s journey. Each treatment plan, goal, and definition of success is unique.
I’m passionate about helping individuals communicate in ways that work best for them and supporting skills that make everyday life more meaningful and connected. Communication is part of everything we do, and I value creating therapy experiences that feel supportive, empowering, and functional.
I’ve worked across a variety of settings, including schools, pediatric clinics, home health, and adult day habilitation programs. These experiences have allowed me to support individuals across the lifespan with a wide range of communication needs while strengthening my collaborative, individualized approach to care. I’m especially passionate about functional communication, sensory-informed support, and helping clients build confidence through strengths-based therapy that is tailored to their personal goals and daily routines.
My therapy approach is client-centered, highly individualized, and strengths-based. I incorporate functional and sensory-integrated strategies to support engagement, participation, and meaningful carryover into everyday life.

We loved Alyssa Gilman and are so pleased with the progress (my son) made with his speech during our time with Expressable! Your program has helped him so much and has also helped me and my husband teach him and communicate with him better. We are only leaving because we decided to put (my son) in the speech program through the public school. We feel it might be a better fit for him at this time since he will be getting to be in a small program learning along side with other kids his age.

Alyssa was wonderful! She was so great working with my son, and his comfort level. Plus she had a wealth of information! I learned a lot just from the initial evaluation, I’m excited to help support my son during his time with Alyssa!

Alyssa does an amazing job keeping my son engaged and helping guide us both through each session. Without her guidance, I would not have been able to help my son as much as I have. We are grateful to have her and are amazed at seeing how much (my son's) speech continues to grow each week.

She was very warm, friendly, and patient with my son during the evaluation and was very thorough in answering all of the questions. I was amazed at how easily she was able to identify and explain his speech issues in such a short amount of time.
