About me

Hi! I’m Patricia. I chose to become a speech-language pathologist because of my commitment to supporting individuals in achieving their highest potential in communication and daily functioning. I was drawn to the field because it combines evidence-based practice with meaningful, person-centered care, allowing me to apply clinical expertise while making a direct impact on quality of life. The ability to help clients develop functional communication skills, foster independence, and build stronger connections with others has been both motivating and deeply rewarding. Over the course of my career, I have continued to value the blend of scientific knowledge, clinical problem-solving, and collaboration with families and interdisciplinary teams that define the role of a speech-language pathologist. I have completed specialized training in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), childhood apraxia of speech (CAS), pediatric dysphagia management, and autism spectrum disorder (ASD) interventions. In addition, I have training in PROMPT therapy, the DIR Floortime Therapy Model, and the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding. These trainings allow me to deliver individualized, evidence-based interventions that support functional communication, motor planning, social-emotional development, and safe feeding skills across diverse pediatric populations. I have experience providing therapy across a variety of settings, including schools, outpatient clinics, sensory gyms, and assisted living facilities. My approach is holistic and client-centered, focusing on functional, meaningful goals that empower each individual to communicate and participate confidently in their daily life. I integrate family involvement, routines-based strategies, and a strengths-based perspective to support lasting progress. When needed, I incorporate sensory integration techniques to promote regulation and engagement throughout sessions. My practice is also neurodiversity-affirming, honoring each client’s unique communication style and needs.
