About me

Hi! I'm Katie. I became a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) in 2019. I became an SLP because I wanted to help people. I have a passion for working with infants and toddlers with their feeding and swallowing skills, as well as helping young children find their voice through development of early language skills and sound production. I enjoys working with families to provide family-centered care in order to help each individual reach their full potential. I have worked in settings such as hospital, home health, clinic, and school. I have received certifications, trainings, and taken courses in the following: Certifications: NMES Pediatric Provider; Trainings: Swallow Function Study (SFS) clinical competence, infant feeding clinical competence, Facial Reanimation clinical competence; Courses: Presented at TSHA on Facial Reanimation. I would describe my clinical style as holistic, client-centered, functional, individualized/personalized, family-centric, routines-based, strengths-based, and rooted in client empowerment to create self-advocates.
